She completed a diploma in fashion designing from Ruchi’s Institute in Prayagraj and, through her hard work, pursued higher studies in this field. During this journey, she understood the challenges faced by craft person, artisans and the needs of the market.

With this vision, she founded "Laavin", which connects traditional skill artisans with modern customers. Soumya believes that artisans are true craft person, and if given the right platform, they can do wonders. Through Laavin, she is making artisans self-reliant and turning fashion into a tool for social change.
